              How we do it

We start with a professionally rebuilt engine with all Subaru factory parts...only the best of the best! After that is the installation of new outer seals, pulleys, belts, a shortened oil pan, clutch (for manual), cooling system, hoses and exhaust. The old engine and wiring are removed from the Vanagon and the conversion wiring harness is installed. After that comes the conversion installation and hook up. Once running it is checked for codes, leaks and emissions and adjusted if needed. The conversion gets and initial oil change (rebuilt engines grind metal away as they wear in...a lot at first) and then its first drive. After the test drive we check for codes, leaks, temperature and running condition. With a clean bill of health we take two more (and much longer) test drives, repeating the process after each one until we feel great handing you your new Subaru powered Vanagon!
