Oil: 5w30 non-synthetic for first 10,000 miles - 20w50 non-synthetic after that
Coolant: Prestone or equivalent (does not need to be special VW coolant)
Tune ups: Every 30,000
Oil change: Every 3,000
Break in:
Take it easy for the first 1,000 miles. Avoid hard starts and stops.
Avoid revving the engine above 3500 rpm and vary your speeds by doing city and highway driving
Don't use cruise control much, if at all. After 1,000 miles the van needs to come back here for an oil change    and inspection.
